On Monday night, Elfrid Payton made an incredible discovery: efficiency. The man who loves to take a layup over two big men, brick it, and chase his own rebound finally had a good game of the first time in his Knicks career. On Monday, he torched the Lakers for 20 points on 9-for-12 shooting from the field and led the …

The New York Knickerbockers have played three games since the All-Star Break and it has been a rollercoaster of emotions. It started off with a horrid showing against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks. The Knicks’ largest lead that night was six points, when they led 9-3 in the first quarter. Antetokounmpo made a layup with 6:23 left in the …

During this time, please stay safe and try to adhere to the guidelines of the CDC during this time. First rule of free agency is looking at what was attempted in the past year, how it was attempted and what can be gleaned for the future. The mix of draft picks and the players brought in did not mesh well. …

In part one we look at the impact Cole Anthony could have on joining the roaster and what that could look like considering his offensive upside and on-ball defense. Players like Anthony Edwards and LeMelo Ball could both potentially fit with the team. However, Knicks fans know luck is NOT the Knicks friend but if there’s any lottery luck coming …

There are times when it feels almost impossible to describe the state of the team with any sort of confidence. In that, we’re going to focus on the upcoming draft and the needs the Knicks have. On Monday (3/2/20) Leon Rose was signed and announced as the next president of basketball operations in replacement of the terrible tenure under Steve …

There are 26 games left in the regular season, 26 games until Knicks basketball is over for another season. For the most part, the choice of backcourt pairing for New York has been rookie RJ Barrett at the two, with summer recruit Elfrid Payton running things at the point. Payton’s late addition to the franchise during free agency was quite …

A team of players with varied strengths and weaknesses, but used the wrong way. The Knicks aren't a perfect team and in that same light they are not as helpless as the record shows. The responsibility for that is shared and a potential solution may come from looking at this team in a nuanced way. Here is where we leave convention behind and think freely about what could be rather than what we've seen. Practicality and whether this can actually be implemented requires buy in and patience which are both subject and ultimately player based.

Should the results continue despite the record, this team is 5 - 6 in their last 11, they're only 5 games to the 8th seeded Orlando Magic. Further proving the point the Hawks just beat the Magic further giving some faint (desperate) playoff hope for anyone in the East.

The New York Knicks have some issues with developing a rotation. The attempt of this without stakes is much easier than implementation; however, nothing is ever easy in New York. By removing ego and taking an absurdly objective look at this team can bare fruit out of season.
