Oh, how 1 month can change everything.

The New York Football Giants went from a playoff team looking to build on a successful 2022, to a team that looks like one of the league’s worst in just 1 short month.  The beautiful thing is that there are 13 games left.  The Giants have time to turn their season around.  In order to do that, they play back to back games against 2 of the NFL’s best in the Dolphins and Bills.  To get ready for the Giants and Dolphins matchup, let’s take a look back at their 2015 meeting.

While this game was just 8 years ago, the 2015 Giants and the 2023 Giants are 2 very different teams.  The 2015 Giants posted a top 10 offense, which seems impossible these days.  Much of this offense came from the Elite combo of Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr.  That duo was alive and well in this game.  Eli would throw for 337 yards and 4 touchdown passes.  2 of those touchdowns were to Beckham, the second one being an 84 yard bomb.  Beckham would finish this game with 166 receiving yards on top of his 2 touchdown catches.    Despite a huge offensive output, the Giants defense would allow Miami to hang around.  This was a theme of that season as the Giants would lose A LOT of games in 2015 in the final 2 minutes due to their defense.  The Dolphins, who were not a great team in 2015, would put up 363 total yards and scored 24 points.  Despite some nervous moments, the defense was able to make enough stops to allow the Giants to hold on to win 31-24.

The Giants face a very tough Dolphins team this Sunday.  Between the embarrassing Monday Night Football loss, the injuries to the offensive line, and Evan Neal’s stupid comments, this team is at a crossroads.  The season will either fully implode or the Giants can turn this thing around, and give us fans something to cheer about.  While most fans will be pleased with a competitive showing, oh how sweet an upset win would be.

Do as you did back in 2015, and defeat Miami in their own house.
