The Jets remain undefeated in the preseason after their 24-16 victory over the Falcons. Streveler, once again, looked composed and capable.
Chris Streveler has gotten the vast majority of the reps in the preseason for the Jets and has had a good amount of success. While it’s still clear that Joe Flacco will take over the reins while Zach Wilson is out for potentially the first couple of weeks of the regular season, Streveler being in a depth chart can be a sign of relief.
He finished the game going 8/11 with 119 yards, a touchdown, an interception, and a quarterback rating of 100.2. He also led the team in rushing yards with 33 yards on six attempts.
It’s slowly beginning to look like Streveler will become the third-stringer for the Jets over Mike White. It has nothing to do with any indictment on White, just simply that Streveler has been more demonstrational in his time on the roster.
White played four games for the Jets last season including his notorious 400+ yard game against the Bengals. He played four games in the 2021 season, averaging 238 passing yards a game with five touchdowns and four interceptions.
