Frustrated is an understatement.

Is anyone else sick of hearing all the stats that show how bad we are?  All week I heard how the Giants haven’t had a winning record in any week since 2017.  After Thursday’s loss, all I heard was how the Giants have started 0-2 for the last five seasons.  It is unbelievingly embarrassing to hear these stats over and over again, but they’re warranted.  The Giants have become the new laughing stock of the NFL.  I’m sure many people reading this have given up on the Giants this season. While I understand the frustration, no one should be giving up yet.  There are 15 games left in this season, there is absolutely no reason why the Giants can’t turn this thing around.

99% of people had full confidence in Joe Judge going into the 2021 season.  After two games, you can hear the whispers starting to question if he is the right guy for the job.  Look, he deserves blame for these first two games.  The consistent drops and stupid penalties cost us the game Thursday night.  For a coach who prides himself on the little things, this can’t happen.  With that being said, sometimes you need to take a step back and fight that rage that sets in after these all too familiar heartbreaking losses. It has been two weeks everyone. Keep the faith.  Joe Judge will clean this team up, and after having ten days to prepare for the Falcons, will have this team ready to go next Sunday.

I don’t think there is a single person in the Giants fan base who thought they would be criticizing Patrick Graham just as much as Jason Garrett, if not MORE, two weeks into the 2021 season.  Well here we are.  Thursday’s loss saw the Giants score 29 points and Daniel Jones play well, while the defense gave up 30 points and 400 yards.  Look the offense still wasn’t perfect, as they only scored two touchdowns, but if this offense is scoring 29 points, this defense, hasssssss to play better.  With that being said, this may be a good problem to have.  This defense started off slow in 2020, and was able to figure things out and put together a top ten performance.  This year’s defense also has better players than they did last year in guys like Adoree’ Jackson and Azeez Ojulari, along with the returns of Lorenzo Carter and Oshane Ximines.  If Jason Garrett can actually get this offense and Daniel Jones rolling a bit, and the defense can figure out how to play defense again, the Giants will be ok. That’s a big if, but what other choice do we have as fans then to believe it will happen?

Many reading this will hate every second of it, because they’re sick of hearing about potential and want to see results.  I feel the same way, but at the end of the day we are fans.  All we can do is hope for this ship to be turned around.  Granted, I am very much a glass half full kind of fan, and will ride and die with this team till I’m 6 feet under.  Now, if this season all goes down the gutter again? Then many of the not so glass half full fans will get what they want: a full cleaning of the house. However, its WEEK TWO. I don’t wait all year to give up in week two.  Whether you believe they can turn it around or not, one thing remains true: The Giants are a bad team until they prove they are not a bad team.
