When you ask Giants fans who their least favorite teams are in the NFL, it consists of the Eagles, Cowboys, or Washington Football Team.  Their least favorite player in the NFL usually includes players from these teams.
One man seems like he wants to break this trend; that man is Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Since 2018, Ramsey has slowly been making his way up Giants fans’ most hated players list.  This is mostly due to three separate instances.  Let’s break it down.

The 2018 season was an exciting time for Giants fans.  We had a new coach, a new shiny toy in Saquon Barkley, and everyone was looking forward to a fresh start following an awful 2017. Before the Giants season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Jalen Ramsey’s team at the time, a GQ article came with an interview of Ramsey.  In that article, Ramsey had some things to say about several NFL quarterbacks, including Eli Manning.

Ramsey said that:

“I won’t say Eli’s good; I’ll say Odell’s good. And their connection is good.”

If you want to get on the bad side of Giants fans, opening your mouth about Eli Manning is a good way to do it.

This was the first straw for Jalen Ramsey; the next came this past season.

Golden Tate is not going to go down as an all-time great Giant.  With that being said, he was still a part of our team for two years; therefore, his problems became Giants fans’ problems.  Ramsey had a relationship with Tate’s sister that reportedly ended in the middle of Tate’s sister’s pregnancy.  Obviously, this did not sit well with Tate, and it did not end pretty when the Giants and Rams met in week 4 of last year.  The end of the game ended with a brawl between Tate and Ramsey, which turned into a Giants vs. Rams brawl.  Fans love a good brawl but hate the opposing player that started it. Ramsey continued to climb the most hated players list this past week when he spoke about Tom Coughlin.

Another technique you can use to get on the bad side of Giant’s fans is talking negatively about Tom Coughlin.  The two-time super bowl winning head coach was the Jaguars Executive VP of Football Operations from 2017-2019.

The former Jaguars cornerback said this past week on Aqib Talib’s Catching Fade’s Podcast that:

“We didn’t like Tom Coughlin.”

He also talked about how Coughlin came into Jacksonville after being a bad team, and his style helped them get to the AFC Championship in 2017. Interesting how that works.

With that being said, the rest of Coughlin’s run in Jacksonville wasn’t as successful, and he was let go in 2019.

Tom Coughlin is a hero among Giants fans, so Jalen Ramsey talking trash about him has NOT gone over well amongst both fans and former players.
Hopefully, Kenny Golladay can make him pay when the Giants meet the Rams at MetLife Stadium in Week 6 of this upcoming season.
