With no sports going on due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been different ways of passing time without sports.
The Harry Potter series is one of the most iconic stories of all time and it still holds up today.
It’s always fun to think of what Hogwarts house you could be placed in, so I’ve decided to do that with some players of the New York Rangers.
Here are four Rangers and what Hogwarts house they’d be put into.
1) Mika Zibanejad // Gryffindor
Mika Zibanejad would definitely be put into Gryffindor. The Gryffindor house is a home to those who are brave and have leadership qualities.
Mika is the leader of this team and he doesn’t need a “C” on his jersey to prove it. Mika always plays a hard game and makes sure he is seen.
2) Henrik Lundqvist // Ravenclaw
I feel most people would put Lundqvist into Gryffindor, but he’s a Ravenclaw. The Ravenclaw house values intelligence and learning. Lundqvist is the veteran of the team and carries so much knowledge of the game. He has an influence on this team, especially to the younger players.
3) Artemi Panarin // Slytherin
Slytherin is a house of leadership but sneakily and cunningly. Panarin fits here because he sneakily has lead this team since joining. Panarin is also underrated in terms of talk in the NHL. Besides Rangers fans, I feel that no one recognizes his talent.
Slytherin is always seen as “bad”, but they are just more hidden about their talents than Gryffindor.
4) Igor Shesterkin // Hufflepuff
Shesterkin is the rookie of the team but has played like a veteran. The Hufflepuff house is always forgotten, but it has great qualities.
The house values those of hard work and loyalty. Shesterkin is still new to the NHL but has played every game strong. You can tell he is dedicated to this team.
Connecting entertainment and sports is fun, and it’s helping to get by without sports.
There are different ways we can distract ourselves and the idea of connecting Hogwarts houses to players is one way.
