Although the New York Rangers have not played as many games as any other team in the NHL right now, the team has to pick up the pace.

The Rangers won their first two games of the season, but then the team had some time off from games. After having a break, the Rangers lost to the Edmonton Oilers, the New Jersey Devils, the Washington Capitals, and the Vancouver Canucks. Tuesday’s game against the Arizona Coyotes was a well-played game, but the team fell to the Coyotes 3-2 in overtime.

The Rangers now have a 2-4-1 record and are last in the Metropolitan division.

The Sabres have an 8-1-1 record and are in the first place of the Atlantic division. The Bruins have a 6-1-2 record and are in second place of the Atlantic division. Playing against these two teams will be a challenge for the Rangers, it could possibly determine how this season could be for this team.

The Rangers have not played amazing overall. Some players have been good, while some haven’t. The defense might still be a problem for the Rangers as the team continues to let up more than three goals during games recently. Tuesday’s game was decent, Tony DeAngelo scored the only two goals of the game, but the Rangers did a good job keeping the game close.

While a win would have helped the Rangers as they now have to fast two top teams in the league, an overtime loss isn’t so awful and with how close the game was this was a good step up for the team.
