The (2-2) New York Giants look to extend their winning streak to 3 against the (2-2) Minnesota Vikings this Sunday at 1:00 PM on FOX in a battle for one game above .500.

The Giants, who’ve rattled off two straight wins under Daniel Jones, dismantled the Redskins in a 24-3 beatdown last Sunday. This was the first game all year in which the defense performed flawlessly, making Dwayne Haskin’s NFL Debut a living nightmare. The Giants will face another lackluster quarterback this weekend in Kirk Cousins, who threw for 233 yards and no TDs in a brutal 16-6 loss to the Bears last Sunday.

Golden Tate will be making his Giants debut after his 4 game suspension ended last weekend when the Giants beat the Redskins. Tate gives Daniel Jones yet another offensive weapon to add on to Sterling Shepard, Evan Engram, and even Wayne Gallman, who had an incredible game last weekend replacing the injured Saquon Barkley. The Giants offense will be (mostly) complete and ready to roll at 1:00 PM.

This could potentially be a MASSIVE matchup for playoff seeding down the line. If they don’t win their respective divisions, the Giants and Vikings will most likely be hunting for a playoff spot come late December. Winning this head-to-head battle would be a huge advantage for Wildcard placement when the time comes. The Vikings made the Wildcard last year with a record of 8-7-1, making it all the way to the NFC Championship game just to get clobbered by Philadelphia.

The Giants are 2-6 against Minnesota in the last 8 meetings, dating all the way back to 2005. The last time these two teams met was 2016, where the Vikings handed the Giants a 24-10 loss in which Diggs led the way in receptions with 5 along with 47 yards.

Despite trade rumors floating around the league, Diggs is expected to be active against the Giants.
