The Brooklyn Nets currently sit 7th in the east with a 35-33 record 16 games back. Detroit Pistons hold the 6th seed currently with a 33-31 record also 16 games back. The next two games could offer the Detroit Pistons a great chance to get away from the Nets and seal that 6th seed.
Gaining that 6th seed is crucial for both sides as it will mean that they avoid both the Bucks and Raptors in the first round which is crucial to survival in the post season. 3rd seed is still undecided between the Pacers, 76ers and the Celtics and while no game is ever an easy W, The Nets and Pistons will surely fancy their chances against the 3rd side side.
Nets come off yesterday’s important win at the Hawks. A 114-112 win on the road before tomorrow’s crucial clash against the Pistons. Since returning from injury Spencer Dinwiddie has certainly been racking in the buckets and with 23 points last night is helping push the nets as we come into the final leg of the season.
The Nets face a long road trip after their game against Pistons but last nights win should boost confidence and morale within the group as they look forward to Monday’s clash back on home turf.
